President Tebboune marks National Mujahid Day with message

The full message reads as follows:
"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and peace and blessings upon the noblest of Messengers.
My fellow citizens,
The Algerian people commemorate National Mujahid Day, marking the dual anniversary of the North Constantine Offensive and the Soummam Congress, to honor the heroic deeds of the martyred mujahideen and those who remain true to their pledge may Allah the Almighty grant them health and long life.
They fought and persevered until victory was achieved, honoring their commitment, and Allah fulfilled His promise to them, for He is the best of supporters.
This anniversary carries the imprint of the vision that drove the unique November generation to keep alive the revolutionary flame it had lit, to rise to the demands of growth and expansion within the goals set by the November 1st Declaration, and to stand against the colonial authorities' strategy of clinging to the illusion that Algeria could be kept under occupation a strategy that stopped at nothing to deny the Algerian people's aspiration to live free and independent.
Led by the iconic martyr Zighoud Youcef, the North Constantine Offensive, in its power, heroism, scale, and tenacity, has consistently embodied the highest values carried under the banner of the National Liberation Front and Army (FLN/ALN).
It offers great historical lessons that act as a beacon for the present and the future, demonstrating to the world that Algeria has always been and will always remain steadfast in its Allah-given cohesion, solidarity, and national unity.
National Mujahid Day is also inseparable from the Soummam Congress, the historic meeting that laid out a full strategy for organizing and running the Revolution militarily, logistically, organizationally, and legislatively. It built institutions that put the Revolution into practice across the military, political, and media fields, carrying its cause onto the world stage.
In doing so, this historic congress gave shape to the revolutionary project in every dimension, standing against the most powerful colonial force of the age, backed by NATO.
My fellow citizens,
While August 20, 1955, embodied a strategy to confront enemy forces on the battlefield, August 20, 1956, marked a qualitative leap that forged a multidimensional strategy.
By striking a new balance between the warring parties through enhanced planning and organization, the National Liberation Revolution became the reckoning that upended the logic of traditional colonial rule, not only in Algeria, but for the oppressed everywhere.
While these key historical milestones are a reminder of the mujahid's symbolic significance and exalted status in the nation's conscience, they also prompt us to proudly highlight the present reality of a victorious Algeria.
This present is marked by the safeguarding of national sovereignty and the ongoing construction of a strong State bolstered by its institutions.
Drawing strength from the awareness of Algeria's youth and the cohesion of its people, the message of the martyrs and mujahideen remains alive and inspiring, propelling the country toward horizons of greatness, glory, and leadership.
Finally, on this immortal occasion, I urge today's generation to carry forward the legacy of our forefathers.
By drawing inspiration from their immense sacrifices, we must continue our efforts to elevate the homeland and fulfill the aspirations of the glorious November generation.
I pray for Allah’s mercy on our righteous martyrs, and I extend my deepest reverence and gratitude to my sister and brother mujahideen on their national day, wishing them continued health and well-being.
Long live Algeria.
Glory and eternity to our righteous martyrs.
May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah the Almighty be upon you."
